Je n'aime plus le tricot

Contrairement à ce que j'affirmais là, je n'aime plus le tricot !

J'en ai ras le bol ! Ça ne va jamais comme je veux !

Voici deux exemples de frustrations tricotesques :

Contrary to what I was writing here, I don't like knitting any more ! I'm fed up, it never works like I plan ! Here are two examples of knitting frustration :

-Les chaussettes tricotées ici n'étaient pas mal, j'ai donc voulu les refaire (pour un swap avec quelqu'un qui se reconnaîtra sûrement) et avec du beau fil à chaussette ! Je commande de la jolie Regia Cotton Trend & Color. Le fil est adapté pour des aiguilles 2-3mm. J'hésite, puis je vois sur Ravelry que quelqu'un a déjà adapté le modèle pour une laine pus fine, alors je me lance dans l'adaptation du modèle. Je fais mon échantillon, je calcule, je tricote, je tricote et à la fin de la semaine : déception !

-The socks I knitted here weren't too bad, so I wanted to knit them again (for a swap with someone who will reconise herself) and with nice sockwool ! I bought nice Regia cotton Trend & Color. The sockwool is for 2-3 mm needles. The river socks pattern for 3mm. I hesitate, then I saw on Ravelry that someone had adapted the pattern for thinner thread, so I start adjusting the pattern. I knit the gauge, I calculate, I knit, I knit and at the end of a week : disappoitment !

J'ai un 43 au lieu d'un 38 !!!

Sans déconner, Bibabeloula qui fait du 45 était presque bien dedans !!!

Le talon est moche, le triangle sur le côté est trop grand, c'est horrible, bref, mon swap ne sera pas encore honoré malheureusement, je laisse décanter un peu les chaussettes pour le moment....

I have a 8 instead of a 5 !!! Really, they nearly fit Bibabeloula who wears 10 !!! And the heel is horrible, with the huge triangle on the side, it's ugly, my swap is not to be honoured yet I'm afraid, so I leave socks aside for a while...

-Ensuite, avec l'hiver qui approche, je me dis "tiens je vais me faire des moufles-mitaines". Je  commence les Broad Street mittens. J'ai la bonne laine, les bonnes aiguilles, le bon échantillon. Je tricote, je tricote, la bordure est belle, c'est prometteur... au niveau du pouce je commence à plus être bien certaine de comprendre le modèle...Ce fil au milieu c'est pas normal...

Et quand je l'enfile : "oh my gosh !" Ça ne va pas du tout, encore une fois, c'est bien trop grand ! Même pour la grande main de Bibabeloula...

-Then with winter nearby, I think, "hey lets make mittens". I start with the Broad Street mittens. I have the right wool, needles, gauge... I knit, I knit, the beginning looks great, it looks as if it's going to be a great project... arriving to the thumb I see something is wrong, I have difficulties understanding the pattern, that thread in the middle doesn't look right... and when I put my hand in : "oh my goodness !" It doesn't fit at all, once again it's far too big. Even for Bibabeloula's big hand...

Résultat : une trop grande chaussette et une demie trop grande mittaine ! Grrrrrr !

Result : One too big sock and one half too big mitten ! Grrrrr !

C'est quoi le problème ? Je vois tout en trop grand en ce moment ? J'ai pas compris comment faire un échantillon ? Je me lance dans des trucs trop durs pour moi ?

Pfiouuuuuuu.

Z'avez une idée ?

Z'avez des conseils de modèles faciles en chaussette pour un fil qui se tricote avec des aiguilles 2-2,5mm ou pour des mitaines pour fil qui se tricote avec du 3,5mm... pour quand je serai plus trop fachée avec le tricot ?

What is the problem ? Do I see everything in too big right now ? Don't I get how to knit a gauge ? Do I start to difficult projects for me ? Pffffffff. Do you have an idea ? Do you have pattern suggestions for easy sockwool to be knitted with 2-2,5mm needles or for mittens with a wool to be knitted with 3,5mm... for when I won't be too angry with knitting ?

Je fais des mitaines avec un carré 22/22 de feutrine. Je plie en deux, je couds un tit bout, puis je laisse un espace (pour le pouce), puis je couds le reste. Pas moyen de se tromper, vite fait bien fait ! Si trop grand, il suffit de refaire une couture. Yesssss !

aaaah, oui, c'est rageant ! mais tu as le mérite d'avoir essayé ! peut-être avec un autre modèle, ce serait mieux ?? bon courage... ou alors, stick to easy stuff like me :o)
